Concept

To promote the annual Star Wars Weekends event located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, these signature images were used in marketing. Combining both the Disney and Star Wars brands.

 

The concept is R2-D2 interacting with and controlling the drops of the Tower of Terror attraction. It gives a clever nod to the scene in the original movie Episode IV: A New Hope in which R2-D2 plugs into the controls of the death star to stop a garbage compactor and save his friends.
